The Falcons Cup
The Falcons Cup is an annual Inter-Club Tournament played between the Junior Clubs affiliated to The North Foreland Regional Badminton Association.
It is Unisex Team Event with teams of six players.
There have been three divisions in recent years.
Clubs may enter as many teams as they wish.
All players must be ranked by their clubs and must play in their correct order.
The format is below.
Player 1 will play Singles against player 1 from the other clubs in their division.
Player 2 will play Singles against player 2 from the other clubs in their division.
Player 3 will play Singles against player 3 from the other clubs in their division.
Player 4 will play Singles against player 4 from the other clubs in their division.
Player 5 will play Singles against player 5 from the other clubs in their division.
Player 6 will play Singles against player 6 from the other clubs in their division.
Players 1 and 2 play Doubles against Players 1 and 2 from the other clubs in their division.
Players 3 and 4 play Doubles against Players 3 and 4 from the other clubs in their division.
Players 5 and 6 play Doubles against Players 5 and 6 from the other clubs in their division.
Players 1 and 4 play Doubles against Players 1 and 4 from the other clubs in their division.
Players 2 and 5 play Doubles against Players 2 and 5 from the other clubs in their division.
Players 3 and 6 play Doubles against Players 3 and 6 from the other clubs in their division.
The result is based on games won versus lost. Then counting points if needed.
National Schools Championships 2019/20
This event builds up through local, county and regional levels. Our local event covers the East Kent Coastal, Canterbury, Sheppey & Sittingbourne, Dover and Thanet Districts. The local play took place recently involving these listed teams. Those highlighted won through to the Kent finals in February. If your school hasn’t entered perhaps you should make a note to raise the subject next year.Falcons Cup 2019
This year’s event was one of the most successful yet. With 9 teams involved, players aged between 7 and 19 played matches against players from other clubs. In the U19’s Group 1 Ajax were the winners; they played well all day with some of the best rallies of the day. In Group 2, also U19’s, Falcons of Faversham won and their group was the most entertaining and quite jolly whilst still competitive.Junior Player of the Year Award - 2019
This award is for a junior that has helped “over and above” to promote badminton for juniors, encourage them to play and then to play to the best of their ability. This is on a voluntary basis in their own free time. This year the award went to Melissa Mundy, in particular for her help at tournaments and assistance at junior clubs. This award is for a junior that has helped “over and above” to promote badminton for juniors, encourage them to play and then to play to the best of their ability. This is on a voluntary basis in their own free time. ** 2017 Winner Georgia Debling ** The award this year has been given to Georgia Debling. She played a major role in organising the UV badminton demonstration – helping with planning, risk assessment, setting up and dismantling.Junior Tournament - 2018

This list shows the final order of the players within each group
